About The National Tobacco Quitline

An initiative of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India

Ministry of Health and Family welfare initiated NTQLS as part a tobacco control program in India. Established first tobacco quitline at Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, Delhi in 2016. On 1st Sep 2018, the displaying of tobacco quitline toll free 1800-11-2356 number on tobacco products made mandatory. On the same day, the MoH&FW, Govt of India established three more NTQLS in India. Currently, four NTQLS are functioning in India. Aiming to assist and support callers to quit tobacco.  Counselling available 12 hours a day through out the year (Monday is off).
